Role accountabilities
1. Training Strategy
- Develop & implement the agreed Training Strategy (efficient/ effective)
- By translating the overall Strategy into regional Training & Sales Development programs
- Considering the right translation/ adaptation to the local environment and implement accordingly, whilst keeping the overall strategy in mind
- Resulting in high effectiveness & improved capabilities of the S&D teams (South/ West)
2. Training & Team Development Plans
- Translates the business strategy & brand position into commercial training programs
- Enhancing operational excellence of S&D Teams
- Develops and sets the monthly and yearly training program
- Following up training with in field observations and coaching
3. Trade Marketing Tools & Programs
- Train the team on how to use Trade Marketing Tools & Programs
- Grow team capabilities in getting best out of these tools
- Gives input & suggestions for the development/ improvement of Tools and Programs
- Evaluates in- market effectiveness- through observation and training feedback
- Evaluate tools & techniques on regular base- and optimize to enhance effectiveness
4. Team Skills Development
- Works closely together with S&D teams – to set priorities and focus on skills development team
- Improves team basic communication skills- product introduction, key sales pitch, listening skills etc.
- Brand Communication skills- nutritional-, product-, brand knowledge, benefits etc.
- Trade Marketing skills- toolkit usage & training
- System skills- day-to-day operation procedures, system usage etc.
- Evaluates with S&D teams on regular base- and re adjust plans/ training content where needed
5. Business Development- Market, Product, Trade
- Monitors trends in business, market and customer requirements
- Delivers input to marketing & other disciplines, consistent with the strategy & year plans
- Sees, anticipates and actively pursues new business opportunities
- Comes up with new initiatives to improve the business
6. Team Development
- Ensures an effective structure, staffing, on job training and coaching of the Training team
- Being a stimulating sparring partner for subordinates & able to lead the team to higher standards
- Ensures that the Training team operates within the corporate code of conduct
- Translate Training Strategy into clear & SMART defined objectives for S&D team members
Qualification
- Bachelor degree (Business, Communication)
- Training Skills- enhanced through in-company training and learning on the job
- Relevant experience in the food/ nutrition category
- Min 8-10 years professional experience- in training and working with field teams
- Experience: commercial training development & delivery, developing own training materials, brand training, nutritional training, system training
- Combines strong communication & training capabilities, with pragmatism and operational skills
- At least basic knowledge/ ability to speak English
