Summary:  

The Solution Manager in APJ, Enterprise Solutions is responsible for providing the overall program insight to drive market-focused solutions in the APJ region.  Analyze market / technology dynamics and trends in APJ that are aligned with the corporate goals, thus, creating strategies to introduce new product solution sets.  Regular field/customer engagement required to gather market and customer needs in order to identify new products, solutions and market opportunities.  Coordinate value proposition content in order to drive integrated solutions and cohesive messaging into the market.  This position will be devoted to strategically driving and obtaining solutions based results from the definition stage through market introduction in the APJ region. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Discovering problems in the market by interviewing customers, recent evaluators and untapped potential customers.  Validate urgent problems to show their pervasiveness in the market;
  • Mapping needs with target markets and analyze the market segments to actively pursue. Ensuring that the targeted segments are large enough and profitable enough to support the current and future business of the product;
  • Determining the most effective way to deliver a complete solution to an identified market problem. Filling in gaps in our offering, analyzing whether to buy, build or partner to complete the solution for our market;
  • Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators to determine how well the solution is performing in the market, how it impacts Company’s operations, and ultimately, how it contributes to profit;
  • Analyzing the alignment of the market segments to channel partners (distributors, contractors, integrators, etc.).  Determining Company’s strength with the channel partners that best align with the markets’ buying preferences;
  • Establishing a pricing model, schedules, guidelines and procedures for the solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  MBA preferred;
  • 3-5 years experience in product management or product marketing with sales, marketing or business development experience;
  • 3-5 years experience in structured LAN cabling systems;
  • 3-5 years experience in commercial enterprise markets;
  • Strong analysis/ decision making, math and computer skills;
  • Resourceful:  Able to thoroughly understand the dynamic market and technology issues and formulate solution strategies to bring products to market;
  • Ability to manage strategy and conceptual work with planning and tactical execution;
  • Capable of leading/ working closely with cross-functional global teams that includes product management, research, user experience and design, business development and marketing;
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to C-level executives (internally & externally);
  • Must be able to travel on commercial transportation and private vehicles unassisted 25% of the time – both domestically and internationally.
